It’s easy to find outside sources to inspire you on your fitness journey. Places like Brain Body Food are all very well-intentioned, and are here to motivate and inspire you to want more from yourself. However, that true drive to improve yourself, must come from within you, not from an external source – like a partner, spouse or parent.
It’s easy to look in the mirror and think “I’m perfect just the way I am!” and that may be true. If you’re happy with yourself and your capabilities in this world, then this probably applies to you. No-one has the right to make you feel any differently.
However, if you look in the mirror and think “I could improve” or “I wish I could do X.” then there’s a good chance that you are like many of us and want more for yourself than what you currently have. And that is also, equally great, and as before, No-one has the right to make you feel any differently.
If that second statement applies to you, then it’s time to commit to change, it’s time to commit to challenging yourself to improve. To commit to putting in the work and the effort to achieve your goals. This isn’t just a fitness lesson, it applies to anything in your life.
Identify, decide and commit. That’s the key to success.
That’s amazing advice. Thank you for sharing this. I really like your blog. I hope all is well.
